This policy outlines how ProposalForge handles refunds, cancellations, and billing for subscriptions and one-time purchases at forgeproposals.com. By subscribing to or purchasing a plan, you agree to the terms described below.
1. Overview
This policy explains our refund and cancellation practices for all ProposalForge subscription plans and one-time purchases. By subscribing to or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms.
We want you to be satisfied with ProposalForge, and we handle all refund requests fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
2. Free Tier
The Free plan has no associated charges. Because no payment is collected, no refund applies. You may use the Free plan indefinitely at no cost.
3. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable.
▸If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
▸No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing cycle
▸Your subscription will not renew after the current period ends
4. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed once per year in advance. Subscription fees are non-refundable.
▸If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of your annual billing period
▸No pro-rata refunds are issued for unused months within the annual cycle
▸Your subscription will not renew after the current annual period ends
5. Lifetime Plans
Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase granting perpetual access to all current and future features of ProposalForge.
▸Lifetime plans include a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase
▸Refund requests made within 14 days of purchase will be processed in full
▸After 14 days, lifetime plans are non-refundable
6. Cancellation Process
You may cancel your subscription at any time. The process is self-service and does not require contacting support.
▸Cancel through the Stripe billing portal, accessible from your Dashboard → Billing page
▸Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
▸No further charges will be made after cancellation
▸You do not need to contact support to cancel — it is entirely self-service
7. What Happens After Cancellation
Upon cancellation, the following applies:
▸Your account is downgraded to the Free tier at the end of the billing period
▸You retain access to all your data (proposals, invoices, estimates)
▸Features gated to paid plans become inaccessible
▸Your data is retained for 90 days after downgrade
▸After 90 days, unused data associated with paid features may be archived or deleted
8. Invoice Payment Processing
For contractors using Stripe Connect to collect payments on invoices sent through ProposalForge:
▸The platform application fee (1.5%) is non-refundable
▸Payment disputes between contractors and their clients are handled through Stripe’s dispute resolution process
▸ProposalForge is not a party to payment disputes between contractors and their clients
9. Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, we will issue refunds where:
▸Required by applicable law (including EU/UK consumer protection laws)
▸A verified billing error occurred on our part
▸The Service was materially unavailable for an extended period due to our fault
EU/UK residents may have additional rights under local consumer protection regulations. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you have under applicable mandatory law.
